PW Buttermilk Bisquits and Chicken Spaghetti

Ok so let it be known, said and oatherwise affirmed that I am NOT a biscuit person. They are fine, and good, and such, but really, if I'm gonna spend the calories, give me an apple fritter or a delicious gooey roll w/ nuts... .... these biscuits are EASY and yummy. I love that. AND they easily pass the "Chuck" Standard. My sweet love, unlike myself, is an AVID biscuit LOVER. SO I've tried various kinds - and excel in the "pop open" canned kind - those are truly delicious...but these are some of the best homemade buttermilk biscuits I've made.

Look they even got Golden BROWN :) Just like they are supposed to :)
And of course, b/c I love my country boy, I made bacon and gravy from the bacon grease. PW would be proud. Funny, I used to LOVE biscuits and gravy when I was little and now...CONFESSION: well, they most of the time make me want to throw up. Weird I know, and its not even pregnancy induced. Just a change in my tummy. Random, and much to my love's chagrin. :) He he but I still make them for him and Savvy, and now Wyatt, so it works.

Chicken Spaghetti.....sounds ordinary and normal, yes?

Not when it is PW style :) She uses cream of mushroom soup, cheese and chicken broth to make a cheesy, yummy, delicious dish that makes it so much more interesting than just "chicken spaghetti."

Disclaimer: Charles and I both do NOT Like mushrooms, but due to our commitment to follow the recipes exactly, still used the cream of mush soup...a dear friend recommended using the Fat Free kind b/c you don't taste the mushrooms as much, and SHE IS RIGHT! Neither of us could even taste the nasty things :) Of course, now I will prob make it with cream of Ckn soup instead, but it will be delicious regardless. The thing, besides the cheesiness, that makes this dish so yummy is the addition of PIMENTOS. Never cooked with, or wanted to cook with, pimentos before. They are so ... essential. They bit of spice and zing they bring to the dish is great. Will definitely try them in more things.

So here's my roasting ckn I boiled then stripped of meat (btw this is one of my LEAST favorite things to do, due to the fact that I'm so bad at it).

And then

here is the yumminess as it comes out of the oven.....
Final product...Chicken Spaghetti, Texas cheesy toast and SALAD FROM OUR GARDEN!! :) Super yummy meal. Served it to good friends of ours and they approved of the amazing casserole as well :)
As usual, PW's recipes are a smashing success :)
