First Recipes...SUCCESS!

The PW cookbook
My cooking crew - the littlest one only lasted 5 minutes....Thank the Lord :)
So we started on our blogging/cooking adventure today...We started with French Pastry Puffs - quite honestly something I'd never have thought to make, simply b/c ...well I have no idea. :)  So Savanna handled the mixer - with the skill of a natural cook I might say :) Then we got to dip them in butter and cinnamon sugar once they were out of the oven and still warm. How in the world can that NOT be amazing??
I promise, she did have a good time. And did quite well with the mixer!

French pastry puffs...YUMMMMMMM

Here is the final product - PW did them in full muffins, but that only made 12 and I knew we'd need more bites than that!! :)

Pico de Gallo. We will definitely be eating this in heaven.

So then we made Pico de Gallo - one of my absolute FAVORITE foods in the whole entire world...but something I've not ever made well. The secret, simple and true, is that you put equal amounts of tomatoes, onions and cilantro in. Instead of an overload of tomatoes, you have equal parts, and THIS, my friend in what makes it equally yummy. And we used cilantro from our own garden. How cool is that. :)

So our first 2 recipes are a great success - PW you get an A+ on both Puffs and Pico!
