Paint and a boy.
Wyatt's new name is "Little Boy Blue."
For the following reasons :
Savvy asked me the other day, "mom, can we paint? Sure. no problem I think. So I am blissfully sitting on the couch, feeding Hudson, and all of the sudden I hear "WYATT!" Then nothing more. So I passed it off. Until Wyatt comes waltzing into the living room where I was, COVERED in paint. "Mom! we decided to paint ourselves!" Ha ha so funny. Well, he had - arms face, and the bottoms of his feet...which I thought was kind of strange. Really? The BOTTOMS of his feet?? How did he get to the couch w/o leaving blue paint behind him on the carpet???
I was about to find ou.t I walked into the kitchen to see the entire bottle of blue paint on the floor -mostly in the grout, not on the tile. Now I have BIG tiles in my kitchen -you'd think the paint could've mostly hit a tile, instead of mostly on the grout :) Oh well.....So Savvy decides to be like her brother and paints herself...then washes her face, but keep the painted bottom of the feet. Oh! The feet. The reason Wy didn't track blue paint onto the carpet after walking thru the puddle of paint in the kitchen is b/c he walked all the way around the kitchen table, leaving wee blue feet as he went.
I sent the picture of Wy to my mother in law Jayne and to my mom. Jayne responds with, "Oh! How fun, I miss him!" My response: "You can have him for an hour or two!!" :) If only she wasn't in KY!
I'm so glad Jesus gives me patience. ANd mercy for my children and me when we need it.
Plus I got to go out w/ 2 of my best girlfriends that night and leave the mess with Daddy. That helped too :)

I did get the paint out of the grout - almost completely. Acid grout cleaner is amazing :)
Children are truly a blessing from the Lord - even when they are MESSY....
