8 weeks of fun ...

How in the world is Hudson EIGHT weeks old??? Wow. Glad we are cherishing each day!

Here we come! We left Phoenix at 430am on 8/6/18 :) One Expedition, one truck pulling the trailer and a moving van! The FUN - vehicluse  This part of NM has probably never seen this many cars at once  Troy and Chivonne drove down to us in order to drive back to NE with us. We are SOOO grateful. Instead of Charles having to take 2 trips, we made it in one! Too many hours in the car.....3.5 hr traffic jam in NM OI! Our dog - Jack (in the box!) 😁😁  All parties involved in the trip did really well. Even with the 3 hour + delay we arrived into Gothenburg Wednesday 8/8 around 5pm. Talk about HAPPY to be out of the car! Playing with the Daums and Petersons  Another REALLY AMAZING thing is that some other friends, Loren and Carole Peterson, moved here at the SAME time. Nebraska! Settling in....

And we really love it. I have meant to blog regularly....and hopefully we will get there. We had a GREAT trip here. 1200 miles and only one traffic jam that lasted 3.5 hours. In New Mexico. So random. But we arrived safely and are settled - for now.  The weather has been so amazing. RAIN. Clouds. NO 100+ degree days. Today is the first day of FALL and we are excited. After 14 years of NO Fall, we are rejoicing. 😃 It is looking like we might have our first freeze in a week or 2 - YIKES! We are all thrilled for all the comes with Fall and Winter. In March, when it is cold and wet and dreary, I will remember Arizona with more fondness LOL our Fall decor in the camper! Life has settled into a good rhythm. The kids are truly enjoying their new school. It actually amazes me how they have settled in and LOVE their school. Savanna is in 6th grade and just yesterday they had 6th Grade Outdoor Ed day--which means they spent the day at a local farm learning all about raising animal...

Savanna Joy is FOUR!

Wow. Does time fly or what??? Savanna turned four 10/6/10. What a wonder and gift she is. She is extremely articulate, tall and just a JOY to be around. Here are some highlights from her special day. I asked her what she would like to have for breakfast...she said "Cinnamon rolls!" Daddy asked, "orange or regular?" and she said "Both!" so...we had both :) It was, after all, her special day! Then we opened presents... new play dough from mom and dad, and a great new princess Chutes & Ladders from Grandma Jayne (she loves it and we've played it 3x a day since :) ) Then we just did whatever she wanted : Watched movies, played the new game, played with Playdough, tried on new clothes. We tried to go swimming but the pool has already been closed for the winter (winter, what winter??) so we had Chick fil A instead. Which she loved.
