loving Christmas....

So this past Saturday, the town my parents live in have an annual Christmas art-ish festival, starting with a parade and with lots of booths, food and even some real snow (fenced off and only a certain # of kids can go in at a time...truly AZ snow). So the kids and I, along with Grandma, Grandma Great and some great friends, the Geers and Wrights,  headed out to enjoy the parade. It was HILARIOUS. Lots of music, lights, kids, even some "neighs" (that's horses in Wyatt-speak). And by the end each child had 1/2 a grocery bag full of candy. :)


 Four generations of ladies in the family! Grandma Great is 89, Savanna is four :) Pretty darn cool.

Its funny how, as a parent, you TRAIN and TRAIN and TRAIN your kids to not run into the street...and then you go to a parade where they throw candy :)



Savvy and I made our first batch for Gingerbread cookies ever...it was super fun.

well we discovered that West Valley Hospital and Phoenix Children's Hospital are both great facilities. Saturday night Wyatt fell from one of the dining room chairs - no one saw him, I got to him immediately but i am not exactly sure what happened. Loooong story and 7 hours in the hospital. The Dr's at West Valley did a c/t scan on Wyatt, and came to the conclusion that there was some bleeding on the left side of his brain. So they shipped us to PCH, where the nuerologists came to the conclusion there was absolutely nothing wrong and no bleeding on the brain. PTL! It was a hard thing to go thru - watching them, holding Wyatt as they poked him, scanned him and generally bugged him. He took it like a champ, however, and around 1130pm when I was having a snack b/c I nearly passed out on the table as they were drawing blood from him, Wy was so MAD that he couldn't have a snack too. NEW ADVENTURES - 2018

Well, it has been a ridiculous amount of time since I last created a blog post. To say that life has happened is an understatement LOL So much has happened. Charles worked as a police officer for the City of Goodyear for 7 years, then transferred to the Gila River Indian Reservation and worked there for 14 months (way too far and so hard on the family!!) He started working for the city of Buckeye in September 2015 and it has been a GREAT city to work for. He has been a police officer for 11 years now! I work for Revelation Wellness and it is such a JOY! I started out working as an Enrollment Adviser, welcoming new instructors into the training and now I am the Director of Culture - handling HR, developing our team and working with the instructors in their regions. I LOVE my job. Savanna is now 11 and going into 6th grade. Wyatt is 9 and going into 4th. Hudson is 7 and going into 2nd grade. A family member you may never have known we had..

I am the grandmother to a moose. Yes, you heard me correctly, a MOOSE. She doesn't have a "re al" name, it is simply "moose" or "moosie." She has become a permanent and important part of our daily life. Yesterday Moose looked at me and said "Grandma!" Wow. Not ready for the one quite yet. Guess I'm getting some practice in on a small, blue well-loved moose with no neck to speak of any more. (Her neck has been "loved" do wn into her belly). She 1st joined our family when Savvy was 1 or so, a nd went ignored for quite a while...I think she was discovered shortly after the little brother came on the scene. Moose goes EVERYWHERE with us, and occasionally sleeps at other people's houses, esp.Grandma's (on accident)...Once we thought we'd left her at Safeway and I almost cried...until I remembered, she is just a BLUE MOOSE.
