Christmas has been FANTASTIC. This year means so much more b/c Savanna understands that we are celebrating JESUS and that all the fun, sparkle, lights and excitement are for Him. Wyatt is also pretty stoked about Christmas - esp. the fact that we have a TREE in the house, and the lights on it, etc :) We have spent many of the Dec. mights driving around looking at Christmas lights "Lights! Lights! Lights!" and singing Christmas music. Sweet memories.
We got to go to Grandma Charlene's Ladies Tea & Cookie Decorating Party at her church...it was messy and delicious! :) Savvy really, really enjoyed the frosting most :) Grandma Great is here, and celebrating her 89th Christmas...it is an honor to have her around!
We had our 2nd annual Christmas Movie night - it was so much fun. We had lots of treats, watched White Christmas (sort of) and just enjoyed good friends. Hooray for new traditions!
This year we sort of accidentally started a new favorite tradition We decided to have a prime rib on Christmas Day, but I still had a 21 lb turkey in my freezer. So on the Sunday before Christmas I made our 1st Christmas Dinner...and it was AMAZING. I always forget how amazingly delicious turkey, stuffing and mashed potatoes are....yummmmmmmy. :) In this picture we are playing Golf...even taught Savanna to play and she was winning till she got bored :)

We also had our 1st BAKING DAY...oh my. We spent a whole afternoon with Grandma at our house with Cousin Alyse and Baby Urijah baking and baking and baking and baking. :) We made goodie plates and thankfully, gave most of it away ;)

Grandma Great reading to Wyatt...he LOVES to have books read to him now YAY!!
Christmas Eve - Mexican food! Yummy
Might think it kind of odd but he was REALLY excited about the new toothpaste :) But since he loves to brush his teeth that is not too surprising :)
This is one of my ABSOLUTE favorite presents we got - be/c now we can show Savvy and Wyatt where our family lives around the country!
We had such fun unwrapping presents. For the most part, after opening his truck and the car, Wyatt just wanted to play, so Savanna got to help open the rest of his gifts...which she found delightful :) They are fabulous children.
Grandma great got PJs w/ a surprise pair of shorts inside...she thought they were ridiculous :) he he

Watch out Bad Guys! Savanna is comin' for you :) She and Daddy have been eradicating the bad guys in our house and the general area. It is so fun to watch them play. I love that she loves, loves, loves her Daddy. Me too.
The 3rd Christmas Dinner was on the 26th with my sister Leslie from Scottdale and that precious part of the family. It was brief but great to see them. Apparently I lost my camera mojo that day b/c there are no pictures. But it was great regardless.
So Christmas at the Johnson spread was fabulous. So thankful for our family, for the fun gifts, but most of all for the precious Jesus whose birth we celebrate. May the reality of His life invade all of ours in this next year!
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
