PW's Lasagna

Image
Oh YUMMMMMM As usual, PW shows up with great flavor and yumminess in her lasagna. Instead of ricotta she uses cottage cheese - a lb of mozz, a full cup of Parmesan, and 2.5 lbs of meat. :) How could you go wrong? One lb breakfast sausage - HOT- and 1.5 lbs of meat. YUM!!  HOw could you go wrong with this much creaminess??? We fed the final product to 3 other adults and 2 other children - and still had 3 HUGE portions of leftovers. And everyone gave it a THUMBS UP even the pickiest wee eater :)

The many faces of Savanna...and Hudson's first SMILE!

Savanna LOVES the camera. Sometimes, well, OFTEN, actually, I turn on the camera and find that she has been...busy taking "pictures." I Love love love them. She is so precious. I think  someday when she gets engaged I'll make a picture book of all her many faces for her Love :) I love this one! Oh look! I have a tongue! And Hudson SMILED at me, FOR THE CAMERA, on Friday! He just turned 6 weeks, and I was asking him when he was going to smile at me...then he did :) Hooray! Meeting Auntie Leslie and Cousin Julia :) Just wait till the next post...it involves paint, faces and feet :)

First family beach trip - Navarre, FL 7-18-2001

Image
We had such a great time at the beach with Grandma JuJu. on Sunday after the reunion, we drove 4 1/2 hrs southish to Navarre, FL. GORGEOUS, and not busy at all. It rained and rained and rained...and then rained some more on the drive down. For us Arizonans, it was HEAVEN :) It was, however, still raining when we arrived so Chuck took the big kids and Grandma, and Hudson and I stayed at the hotel, while they played at the beach. Thankfully, the rain cleared off, and they had a great time. Hudson and I walked the little beach in front of our hotel - that was nice too. For dinner, we went to a place called Beach Monkey. Chuck ordered: Raw oysters   Ok, so Chuck grew up consuming these...things. I, on the other hand, find them really, really gross. I have tried them, with an open mind, and they are just not for me. More power to him, he can have my portion.  Well, Savanna, who is our eater, decides to try one. I was very very skeptical - but she ate the whole thing, cracker and al

Our family Vacation July 2011

This year we got to travel to Alabama for a family reunion! Charles' mother's dad turned 96 last fall and his grandma turned 95, so their family organized a family reunion of that side of the family. There were 54ish people, including about 15 children :) We flew out on Thurs 7/14 and then came home Tues 7/19. We enjoyed meeting new "cousins" and family - all 3 kids did really, really well flying (They actually LOVED it) and other than being exhausted, the trip was awesome. :) Hudson is a champ - he handled the travel, chaos and all the extra love without any trouble at all :) One of their favorite things...riding the luggage carrier :) Grandma Jayne got to meet Hudson Great-Grandpa and Grandma 96 and 95- such an amazing thing to live so long and be well!! :) This is Aunt  Caroline, Jayne's Sister. It was great to see her too! We spent 1/2 a day at the AL zoo - it was AWESOME!!! The Savanna Area :) The lizard was staring Wyatt down :) Sleepy gorilla
