Papa Doc's trip to visit!


First of all, I found Hudson's giggle spot!!! He laughed and laughed and giggled for me today...it was AWESOME!!!

We had a FANTASTIC time with Charles' dad, "Doc" while he was here. It was so fun to just enjoy him, spend time doing "normal" life stuff, having the kids get to know him more and having him meet Huddy Buddy. We went to Cabela's, Popo's Mexican Food (AMAZING!), hung out....and more.

Our kids LOVE Davy Crockett. Random, huh? Well I found a coon skin cap...a wee bit large for Hudson, but we needed something to do while the big kids were shooting :) 
 We took Doc to watch the rattlesnakes at the White Tanks park get "lunch." Or rather their every 2 weeks feeding. Notice the small tail sticking out of the snake's mouth above? Yes, they are fed live mice. :( Not for the squeamish, for sure. My children LOVED it. ????? What the?!?!?!? They shrieked and hooted and oohed as the snakes slowly eliminated their prey...I guess I don't have to worry about the "cycle of life" with them! Not sure Doc really enjoyed being forced into watching a snake feeding, but he was a good sport :)

 HOORAY for a great time with Doc. :) As we left the airport, Savvy said, "I wish Doc was a part of our family every day." Us too, Darlin' us too!



Oh. To end on a hilarious note....Wyatt discovered his nipples the other day while getting into the bathtub.
Wyatt..."Dad, what is this?"
Dad (he he) "those are your nipples."
Wy "Do we wash them off?"
Dad :D "No buddy, not quite." :)

Love the way they think.

Oh. and another fun one...Driving home Savanna asked me

"Mom, what is God's last name?" huh?????????

"ummmmm Almighty, I think."

"Mom, What is Jesus' last name?"

"ummmmm Christ."

"ok."

So precious :)

    Just thought you would like to know that I am a faithful reader :) I so enjoy the little updates on your family! O, and "Almighty" being God's last name is genius. I would have stumbled and then said something like "He doesn't have one" and launched into a theological diatribe that would have made NO sense to....well, probably anyone :)

funny...

Our children are so sun!! Last night Grandma came for dinner and after we watered our garden - or rather, our bed of dirt with seeds...we came inside and played Hide and Seek. Oh my goodness. it was so so so hilarious. Wyatt loved the part where we would run to the bench and count "Ready or not, here We come!" and then walk thru the halls with both his arms up, like "Where are they?" Savvy was pretty good at hiding, but her favorite part was popping out at whoever was looking for her. It was great fun :) Looking forward to when they get a little older and we can play in the dark :) Wyatt is now saying more words! He says "All Done!" (sounds like aaaaah dawww) and Daddy continues to be his favorite word. :) Savanna is learning to write her letters! She told me she wanted to do letters the other day, so I helped her trace the entire alphabet and then her numbers 1-10. She is a quick learner and loves it. YAY! :)

Wyatt-isms

"Bop!" --->Stop "Miss you" ---> He loves to tell us he misses u - even if he has been with you all day :) it is super precious and usually comes w/ a big hug :)The newest thing is "Miss you all night Momma! (or Daddy)" It is so...precious :) Love you --and tries to do the I love you hand sign - but ends up w/ peace fingers :) Can count to ten easily and work his way to 20. WOW. I'm super impressed with him!!! :) He is talking in more and more complete sentences. I am amazed at how he puts thoughts together and shares them...he loves to play with Savanna's felt boards - they have various themes and lots of different fun parts (fish, plants, mountains, etc) and he makes great little pictures, then says, "Done Momma! Nother one!"

NEW ADVENTURES - 2018

Well, it has been a ridiculous amount of time since I last created a blog post. To say that life has happened is an understatement LOL So much has happened. Charles worked as a police officer for the City of Goodyear for 7 years, then transferred to the Gila River Indian Reservation and worked there for 14 months (way too far and so hard on the family!!) He started working for the city of Buckeye in September 2015 and it has been a GREAT city to work for. He has been a police officer for 11 years now! I work for Revelation Wellness and it is such a JOY! I started out working as an Enrollment Adviser, welcoming new instructors into the training and now I am the Director of Culture - handling HR, developing our team and working with the instructors in their regions. I LOVE my job. Savanna is now 11 and going into 6th grade. Wyatt is 9 and going into 4th. Hudson is 7 and going into 2nd grade. So many changes since 2013 when I last posted :) Here is how we got to this adventure! ...
