Holy Yoga, a trip to the ER...and God's goodness

well we discovered that West Valley Hospital and Phoenix Children's Hospital are both great facilities. Saturday night Wyatt fell from one of the dining room chairs - no one saw him, I got to him immediately but i am not exactly sure what happened. Loooong story and 7 hours in the hospital. The Dr's at West Valley did a c/t scan on Wyatt, and came to the conclusion that there was some bleeding on the left side of his brain. So they shipped us to PCH, where the nuerologists came to the conclusion there was absolutely nothing wrong and no bleeding on the brain. PTL! It was a hard thing to go thru - watching them, holding Wyatt as they poked him, scanned him and generally bugged him. He took it like a champ, however, and around 1130pm when I was having a snack b/c I nearly passed out on the table as they were drawing blood from him, Wy was so MAD that he couldn't have a snack too. So glad to see the little fighter was back. Charles had to return to work in the midst of all this (after we'd figured out that it was most likely not going to involve surgery), so my dad stayed with me and Wyatt all night. Thank God for daddys. I couldn't have done it without him. Thanks, Dad.  So we are CELEBRATING God's hand of protection on our sweet boy - that there is NO BLOOD on his brain, and that he is normal and without any effect from the entire incident. Thank God for His protection and goodness!!!
So on Nov 3rd, I flew out of town to New Orleans, LA for a Holy YOga retreat. It was amazing. There were 48 of us, 47 women and one brave brother in the Lord :)  We did 2 1/2 days of Bible study, yoga and sweet, sweet fellowship.

We visited Decatur Street in the French Quarter.....

Ate beignets (SP!?!?) which are basically fried dough covered in powdered sugar...YUMMMMMY....and very hazardous to anything black :) I have discovered that cajun food is not my ... favorite, let's say. :)
Spent 6 hrs at the airport on Sunday.....

And was so happy to arrive home late Sunday night. Charles and the kids had a good time while I was gone! They played a lot and the children got a chance to really connect with their awesome daddy. It is great to see now the difference in the relationship he has with them. HOORAY!

Wyatt is now saying a whole LOT more words ... he wants to try to say anything you say, which is very fun. "Night night", some colors, "elbow" and all the parts of the body...he is so fun.

God is faithful. His goodness never falters. So thankful for that truth!
