oh how I miss you.... :) Hudson has become the "normal" newborn - waking every 2-3 hrs at night. But it is worth it - I heard the country song "It won't be like this for long" yesterday and it reminded me o CHERISH this time - before we know it they will be grown up. GULP!! 1st shower!! He loved it! It was like a massage and he was soooooooooooo relaxed afterwards :) Can you tell they love their little brother?? 2 weeks old!!! Children are truly a blessing from the Lord!!!

We had a FABULOUS 4th of July party...on July 3rd :) My parents hosted and we counted that at one point we had 54 people -if we didn't miss any of the kids :) Probably 2/3rds were kids. It was GREAT fun! We had water balloons - they filled 300ish, and they were gone in mere moments :) Amazing how it takes so long to fill them and so little time to enjoy them :) Lots of food, dear friends, and we got to introduce Hudson to everyone. We had a monsoon storm roll in, which was totally God-sent b/c it was 110 when the party started at 5pm. After the wind and clouds blew in, the temp dropped to a balmy 93 :) Which btw, is a HUGE improvement over 110!!! For awhile we thought the fireworks would be cancelled, but around 8:45m the resort north of us started their show and it was backdropped by a GORGEOUS lightning storm. We are happily settling into a new rhythm of life. Hudson is a perfect fit for our family :) He is calm and laid back - and sleeping like a CHAMP! Momma is SUPER excited about this...He is starting to be awake during the day more - big dark eyes looking around and taking in this new world he is now a part of. Savanna and Wyatt DOTE on him - they love to hold him and touch him and be near him. Hooray! Add caption Here are some one week pictures...

Hudson is so precious! He is laid back, handles the noise and activity of our house well (Thank you Jesus!), slept pretty much thru the night last night (WOW!!) and is so delightful. He was super sleepy his first 2 days, but is now thrilling us all with open eyes and lots of wiggles and squirms and coos :) Savanna DELIGHTS in him. I can't count the number of times she has said to me "Momma, I'm so glad Hudson is here." or "Mom, I love our baby" or "I'm so glad our baby is here!" She is a fabulous big sister and I will always have a great right hand in her. Wyatt also delights in our new boy. He LOVES to hold Hudson - until he cries, then he looks alarmed and says "I don't like him!" I explained to him that he likes HUDSON, just not the crying :) now he just says DONE! And shoves him back :) I feel really great! God is so good. Tired, of course, and really trying to take it easy, but relaxing and really ENJOYING this precious lit...
