Wyatt is THREE!!

We had a FANTASTIC birthday for Wyatt. The only downer is that Charles had to work on Sunday (which was his actual bday). So the kids and I woke up, we had cinnamon orange rolls and eggs (eggs are Wyatt's FAVORITE thing to eat in the morning. Seriously. I need some chickens. The boy can easily out-eat me!!) He got open the super coooooool train Grandma Juju sent him (it was Charles' when he was little - huge increase in cool factor!) and we had such fun playing with it!!




Hooray! I'm Three!!! (He told me all last week that he was 5. I said, you are silly, you will be three! He said, I'm pretending! )
 Then we got to go to church, which was super fun - Grandma and Patsy joined us, so that was even more special. We grabbed a quick lunch at Taco Bell - he really likes the cheese quesadillas hahahaha and then headed home...after picking up his huge present!

 WHAT IS IT?????

I kid you not, since 2 of his best friends have gotten trampolines for Christmas, almost, very nearly EVERY day, Wyatt asks, can we go jump??? So we were able to buy him a HUGE trampoline, with help from Gma and Papa :)

 After 2 hours of Daddy working to get it all assembled...

JOY!! We now have the COOL house!! :)

He wanted strawberry cake.....
He was utterly, totally, completely EXHAUSTED. And has been every night since. Praise Jesus!! :)
Then on Monday we got to go to Chuck E. Cheese with his very best friend, Bryceson :)  They LOVED everything - the games, the tickets, the lights, the stuffed mouse that moved to music...oh, and the pizza was pretty good too :)

He is an amazing young man. I love his compassionate, tender, PERSISTENT heart. He is truly a gift to us! Happy three, my sweet little man!

    You go girl! What a fun blog! I read a bunch of your past posts and the Pioneer Woman pineapple upside down cake looks great. My friend made it the other day and it was Yummy! I'll stop by and look again soon!

NEW ADVENTURES - 2018

Well, it has been a ridiculous amount of time since I last created a blog post. To say that life has happened is an understatement LOL So much has happened. Charles worked as a police officer for the City of Goodyear for 7 years, then transferred to the Gila River Indian Reservation and worked there for 14 months (way too far and so hard on the family!!) He started working for the city of Buckeye in September 2015 and it has been a GREAT city to work for. He has been a police officer for 11 years now! I work for Revelation Wellness and it is such a JOY! I started out working as an Enrollment Adviser, welcoming new instructors into the training and now I am the Director of Culture - handling HR, developing our team and working with the instructors in their regions. I LOVE my job. Savanna is now 11 and going into 6th grade. Wyatt is 9 and going into 4th. Hudson is 7 and going into 2nd grade. Holy Yoga, a trip to the ER...and God's goodness

well we discovered that West Valley Hospital and Phoenix Children's Hospital are both great facilities. Saturday night Wyatt fell from one of the dining room chairs - no one saw him, I got to him immediately but i am not exactly sure what happened. Loooong story and 7 hours in the hospital. The Dr's at West Valley did a c/t scan on Wyatt, and came to the conclusion that there was some bleeding on the left side of his brain. So they shipped us to PCH, where the nuerologists came to the conclusion there was absolutely nothing wrong and no bleeding on the brain. PTL! It was a hard thing to go thru - watching them, holding Wyatt as they poked him, scanned him and generally bugged him. He took it like a champ, however, and around 1130pm when I was having a snack b/c I nearly passed out on the table as they were drawing blood from him, Wy was so MAD that he couldn't have a snack too. PW Buttermilk Bisquits and Chicken Spaghetti

Ok so let it be known, said and oatherwise affirmed that I am NOT a biscuit person. They are fine, and good, and such, but really, if I'm gonna spend the calories, give me an apple fritter or a delicious gooey roll w/ nuts... .... these biscuits are EASY and yummy. I love that. AND they easily pass the "Chuck" Standard. My sweet love, unlike myself, is an AVID biscuit LOVER. SO I've tried various kinds - and excel in the "pop open" canned kind - those are truly delicious...but these are some of the best homemade buttermilk biscuits I've made. Look they even got Golden BROWN :) Just like they are supposed to :) And of course, b/c I love my country boy, I made bacon and gravy from the bacon grease. PW would be proud. Funny, I used to LOVE biscuits and gravy when I was little and now...CONFESSION: well, they most of the time make me want to throw up. Weird I know, and its not even pregnancy induced.
