Johnson Family Adventures

So we have been baking, and eating, and wrapping, and playing, and can hardly believe it is already Christmas EVE! We have made more Christmas cookies this year than in all the other years combined :) Sweet happiness! Hudson is SCOOTING!! Last night he scooted himself over to the presents and promptly chewed on a few :) He LOVES to eat - is starting to get excited when I come towards him with a spoon :)   Christmas Eve Jammies :) they LOVED them!  We had a GREAT time caroling...altho we decided that next year we won't go on Friday night, and we will have more people. We sang to 4-5 families and it was fun :) Joined by our great friends Jaime and Colin :) I love this expression :)  We *Grandma  Charlene and I * have a tradition of going to the mall on Christmas Eve...well, this year we went on Christmas Eve - Eve. It was great fun. And this year, we actually shopped! :) She is gorgeous...silly and funny and free. Love her ;)  Christmas pictures coming soon! 

Charles got the hankering for Christmas cookies the other night :) So even tho we didn't have all the "Proper" ingredients, we made due and had a GREAT time making cookies. It is one of Charles' favorite memories of Christmas as a kid, so now we share it with ours. SO LOVE THAT!! Wyatt took this picture :) I'm pretty sure he's thinking...'Do I ever get to eat the cookies???' Wyatt did a great job using the rolling pin!! In the little town of Litchfield Park where my parents live, every year they have Christmas in the Park. It is one of MY favorite Christmas memories :) There is a parade, lots of candy thrown at you - totally hometown feel and fun. Lots of Brownies, Cub Scouts and tractors, a local HS band, the works. It is GREAT. And it is hilarious trying to get the kids to run get the candy at first..."Run into the street and get the candy!" They look at you like ?????? "really? after all this time of teaching me to not run into the

Ok, so much to my chagrin, the pictures loaded TOTALLY out of order. BOO! So you get snippets instead of stories. :)  This is Wyatt while we were up North cutting down our tree. I asked him to smile - he said NO! A grumpy face :) Silly boy. She loves to pose for pictures...gee. I wonder where she gets it :) This is the finished product...pretty nice, altho a bit sparse. Ornaments and lights make anything look pretty festive tho! And this one isn't the size of the living room like last years :)  Hi. My name is Hudson and I'm 24 weeks old! And I just got my first tooth, and Momma says the 2nd is right behind it. She also says I have to be nice with them. I wonder what that means?  Wrapping up Christmas.... Snow!!!! Hudson is DELIGHTFUL. Have I mentioned that recently?? He is rolling from back to front very well - sometimes when he doesn't want to :) And now he is finally figuring out how to roll back to his back :) Here he is in his new bouncy seat we borrowed from my good friend. Children are truly a gift from God. :)
